It's that time of year again. The real NHL season begins. The Stanley Cup is up for grabs and 16 teams are vying the biggest prize in hockey. In the first round, the Vegas Golden Knights faceoff against the Los Angeles Kings. The Golden Knights have been one of the biggest stories of the year, winning the Pacific Division and making the Stanley Cup as a first-year expansion team. However, the Kings have championship pedigree and know how in in the playoffs. Who advances? 🏒

Raise your hand if you knew the Vegas Golden Knights were going to win the Pacific Division. YOU'RE LYING. No one, not even Vegas fans saw this coming. But here we are with Vegas riding a motley crew of rejected young guns and veterans on the cusp of one of the most unheard of achievements ever: an expansion team reaching the Stanley Cup Final. With cup-winner Marc Andre-Fleury between the pipes, anything can happen. The dream season continues for Vegas. They will knock out Los Angeles.

Vegas had a cute regular season, but everyone knows when the Stanley Cup Playoffs begin, that's when the real monsters show up. And there aren't any scarier monsters than the Los Angeles Kings, who have won Stanley Cups as a lower seed before. As long as forwards Anze Kopitar, Dustin Brown and Jeff Carter, defenseman Drew Doughty, and goaltender Jonathan Quick are still on the team, this squad has the experience to grind out wins on the biggest stage. The Golden Knights won't know what hit them. Expect another deep run from the Kings this year.
