The real NBA season begins with the NBA Playoffs. 16 teams will be vying for the biggest prize in basketball. In the first round, the Golden State Warriors face the San Antonio Spurs. The Warriors, once again, have the best offense in the league even—without key pieces for long stretches. However, the Spurs have championship pedigree and a coach who can gameplan with the best of them. Who advances? 🏀

The Rockets might have the best record in the NBA but overlook at the Warriors at your own peril. This is still one of the most high-octane teams in the NBA.

Golden State put up a gaudy 113.5 points per game, despite missing sharpshooter Stephen Curry for long stretches of the season. Curry is most likely not going to be back in this round, but with Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant ready to roll, the Warriors won't need him. The Spurs are going to be buried.

The San Antonio Spurs have had a tumultuous season, by their standards, especially dealing with Kawhi Leonard and his availability. Still, without a key piece to their success, San Antonio made it to the playoffs.

The Warriors may be an intimidating force, but no coach has more game planning experience for super teams than Gregg Popovich. The Spurs have the league's best defense, only giving up 99.8 points per game and they will have the recipe to stop Golden State. The Spurs will advance.
