Should the Cleveland Browns draft Josh Allen with the No. 1 pick?

ESPN's expert NFL Draft picker Mel Kiper released another mock draft with a little surprise at the top. Instead of having the Browns picking Sam Darnold or Josh Rosen, Kiper has Cleveland picking Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen. With his size and a strong arm, Allen is a juicy prospect the Browns could understandably take. Still, the Browns could also be feeding false information and Allen may not be taken with the first overall pick. What do you think? 🏈

With two supposedly "can't-miss" quarterback prospects, it's only natural that the Browns would go against the grain to pick the third option. The Browns are going to Brown it up.

Crazy thing is, it might be the right move. Josh Allen has great size at the quarterback position and his strong arm has scouts going gaga over his potential. He has also shown athleticism to scramble and run, making him an ideal piece to build around. It could be a good pick. And to be frank, the Browns inability to make the obvious decision makes them selecting Allen almost a guarantee. Welcome to Cleveland.

Welcome to pre-NFL Draft coverage where the picks don't matter and the teams are lying out of their teeth. Anyone who buys what these mock drafts are selling is playing themselves. Teams are blowing smoke that looks like a fire but really is just a fog machine. They will give bad information to hide their true draft strategy, and go a different route when it really matters. This is the standard operating procedure.

Even the Browns can't muck up choosing Jose Rosen, Sam Darnold or even Saquon Barkley first. There is no way Josh Allen is going No. 1 overall.
