The Washington Capitals' long-awaited Stanley Cup win brought moments that will last a lifetime. Two of the biggest moments were longtime Capitals star Alex Ovechkin finally lifting the cup and T.J. Oshie's postgame interview about his father who suffers from Alzheimer's. Ovi lifting the Cup is one of the most cathartic moments in Caps history, finally putting decades of doubt about his leadership to rest. But Oshie talking about his father was incredibly heartwarming. What do you think? 🏒

Ovechkin's ability to score is never in doubt, but he's always been the butt of jokes after the years of playoff futility. For over a decade, Ovechkin has had to hear from naysayers and pundits that he can't lead a team to a Stanley Cup, let alone win one. But no one can say that any longer. After 13 years of adversity, the Great Eight can shrug off the biggest "but" of his career. He is finally a Stanley Cup champion.

Alzheimer's is a tough disease for anyone to deal with. T.J. Oshie has had to cope with his father's fading memory since he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2012. But being able to share this unforgettable moment with his father, a man who was instrumental in Oshie's love for the game, may be one of the most satisfying stories of this Stanley Cup.
