For the second year in a row, President Trump will skip the annual White House Correspondents' Dinner (aka "Nerd Prom") and send Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on his behalf. Trump has a long history of attacking the free press, so it's no surprise he doesn't want to cozy up to them for an evening of jokes. But others think Trump is being a bad sport. Nerd Prom is a fun way for Washington elites to laugh at themselves, and Trump should attend. What do you think?

President Trump announced he will not attend the White House Correspondents' Dinner and will send Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on his behalf. This is the second year that Trump has declined to participate.

Some feel this is indicative of Trump's deeply troubling relationship with the press.

Others feel Trump is being a bad sport by not attending. He is the first president since Reagan to skip the dinner. How hard is it to take a few jokes for one evening?

Maybe Trump still hasn't forgotten about Obama's scathing takedown of him in 2011.

But even Trump critics think Nerd Prom is totally pointless. The media is supposed to hold our elected leaders accountable, not chum up with them for an expensive night of giggles.

An evening of pretentious, self-congratulatory members of the media schmoozing with liberal celebrities? No thanks.
