President Trump scheduled, then canceled, then re-scheduled his summit with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, but now the two are finally meeting in Singapore. Critics worry Trump will only make a bad situation worse with his erratic and unpredictable behavior. But others argue any discussion with North Korea that helps de-escalate the nuclear crisis is progress. What do you think? 🤔

The long-anticipated meeting between Trump and Kim Jong Un has hit quite a few road bumps, but the two are finally meeting in Singapore.

Jan. 1: Trump kicks off the new year saying the U.S. is "closer ... to a nuclear war with North Korea and in that region than we have ever been — I don't see the opportunities to solve this diplomatically at this particular point."
March 8: Trump agrees to meet with Kim by May, after the regime promises to halt nuclear testing.
May 24: Kim claimed to destroy the country's nuclear test site. Later that day, Trump canceled the summit in part because North Korea wouldn't share planning details with the U.S.
June 1: Following a meeting with North Korean official Kim Yong-chol, who delivered a letter from Kim to the president, Trump announced that the summit is back on, as scheduled, for June 12 in Singapore.

If Trump can't make peace with our allies, why on earth would he be able to make peace with North Korea?

Trump's meeting with Un is nothing more than a photo op. He's already announced he plans to leave Singapore early, not exactly the behavior of someone looking for a lasting solution...

Trump will most likely get duped anyway.

But others feel Trump is the best person to negotiate with North Korea. For one, his threats will be taken seriously.

The appearance of chaos is all part of Trump's strategy, they argue.

Trump has already defied his critics when it comes to North Korea, why should we listen to them now?
