Kid Cudi and Kanye West dropped collaborative album "Kids See Ghosts," and Forbes calls the LP "a thrilling return to form." The seven-track album contains collaborations with Pusha T and Ty Dolla $ign. "Kids See Ghosts" even references "The Handmaids Tale" and features a Kurt Cobain sample. But Kanye recently released his own praised LP "Ye," but Pitchfork writes "though it can be somewhat fascinating, it is undoubtedly a low point in his career." Which album gives you all the feels? 🎤

Critics love Cudi's sound on "Kids See Ghosts." Forbes' Bryan Rolli wrote:

"Cudi’s bass-heavy vocals and grungy, psychedelic musical stylings have always made a potent counterpoint to West’s pop-friendly anthems, vintage soul samples and antagonistic sneer. Kids See Ghosts continues their winning streak, pairing West’s kitchen-sink production with Cudi’s evocative, slightly off-kilter vocal melodies to create sublime soundscapes that liberally hop between genres. Booming, pitch-shifted vocals spiral downward over cavernous drums and ominous synthesizers, recalling Cudi’s debut, Man on the Moon, as well as the dour grunge of Nirvana and the carnivalesque psychedelia of the Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band."

But critics also say the vocals on "Ye" were well written. Pitchfork's Meaghan Garvey wrote:

"As an art-making ethos, “first thought, best thought” works great for beat poetry and hardcore. For most pop stars, including those deemed geniuses, a few weeks to create an album start to finish is hopeless. To be fair, West has pulled his share of buzzer-beaters: a decent chunk of Yeezus’ vocals were written and recorded in the 48 hours before deadline and for all we know, he’s still fixing “Wolves.” Those last-minute edits registered as the neurosis of a perfectionist."
