Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson recently announced their engagement after only a few weeks of dating. Both celebrities recently left long-term relationships. Grande and Mac Miller were together for almost two years, while Davidson and Cazzie David were in an on-and-off again relationship for two years. While the couple plan to be engaged for a while, some feel they are rushing things. Others are happy for them, arguing love isn't timed. Are Grande and Davidson making a BIG mistake?

The couple confirmed their relationship by wearing matching Harry Potter outfits.

Media outlets are gushing over the new couple and can't get enough of the alleged $100,000 rock Davidson put on Grande's finger.

But Yahoo.com spoke with Karla Ivankovich, PhD, a clinical counselor at OnePatient Global Health, and she said rushing into marriage may not be the best idea.

“My advice is to wait two years,” Ivankovich says. “During the first year, you’re putting your best foot forward and you often don’t see a person’s true personality until the second year. People can put up a facade for a long time.”

Regardless of how anyone feels, Grande and Davidson appear to be living their best life.
