If brunch is the national pastime for millennials, then avocado is the mascot. It's the glue that keeps the very foundation of brunch together. It goes on toast, pairs well with eggs benedict, is the perfect accouterment for huevos rancheros and is supposedly the reason why millennials can't buy a house. But for others, avocado is overplayed, overrated and overpriced. It was a fad that old people ran into the ground, and now it's time to move on. What do you think?
Is avocado still an essential part of brunch?
